The number of dog attacks in Lancashire has soared by nearly 50% in the past two years, new data has revealed.

Dog attacks in England have shot up by 22% in the past two years, the FOI figures show. Requests to all police forces in England were submitted by ITV News, with 23 forces responding. Video footage showed a girl aged 11 and two men being attacked by a crossbreed Bully XL-Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy in Bordesley Green, Birmingham. Ana Paun was pulled to the floor after the dog broke free from its collar near a row of shops on September 9, the Mirror reports.
