A dolphin calf found tangled in fishing nets has been saved by the crew of a boat off the Isles of Scilly.
Joe Pender, skipper of Sapphire Pelagics, said they thought the baby was dead but then cut it free and released it to flee with its mother.He said they were out on a bird-watching trip when they saw the struggling mammal. "We thought it had already died and then we noticed it moving so we moved the boat back alongside it and managed to get hold of the netting.The crew were able to release the baby and set it free
