While emergency services tended to his injuries, a drunk Kieran Kenny admitted he had a firearm in his sock that he 'activated [himself]'.
A Doncaster dad has been jailed for five years after being found drunk with a gun in his sock. Kieran Kenny, 39, was found covered in blood on 9 September 2022, and appeared to be intoxicated to the point that he had fallen over. After an ambulance arrived at East Lane, in Stainforth, Doncaster, a paramedic felt a handgun and a separate magazine stuffed into Mr Kenny's sock.
Mr Kenny was then charged with five counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, as well as being drunk in possession of a loaded firearm, possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate and possessing a prohibited firearm. He pleaded guilty to all offences at Sheffield Crown Court on 5 December 2022. On 13 October, he was jailed for five years.
