Meet the Co Down identical twins who not only share their looks but share a 40-year milestone since they started their nursing careers.
Inseparable growing up, Ruth reminisced about their early years, the doctors working between the two floors marvelling at how the ‘nurse’ could be at two different places at once. After qualifying in 1986, Ruth took up a post at the Lagan Valley Hospital whilst her sister Margaret continued to work at the Ulster Hospital until recently when she moved to the Southern Trust.
Talking about working with Ruth, Pain Services Manager Simon Higgs added: “I have had the pleasure of working with Ruth for over 15 years, she has achieved a lot in her 40-year career and is a highly specialised Nurse with a wide range of knowledge which she uses to provide a very high standard of care to her patients.
