A ‘reckless’ BMW driver has been jailed after running over his friend in a ‘joke gone wrong’ – leaving him quadriplegic.
He suffered life-changing spinal injuries requiring him to a move to a care home for round-the-clock support. The victim, who asked to remain anonymous, said of his ordeal, on May 20: ‘He said that he drove at me for a joke, but it’s no joke, I am the one who is here with no future.
