Marcin Pawlak flew into a rage and threatened to shoot property developer Herminder Cheema while he was clearing rubbish from behind his flat
A have-a-go hero who ‘feared for his life’ has been praised by a judge for disarming a drunk gunman by punching him in the face.
Pawlak, who had come out of the neighbouring property, called Mr Cheema ‘dirty’ during the incident last September before pointing a weapon at him and telling him: ‘I will shoot you.’ Pawlak went back into his flat while Mr Cheema called police, who rushed to the scene in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
Judge Barry Berlin said: ‘Anyone who points a loaded firearm at someone and threatens to shoot them deserves an immediate custodial sentence.
