Smith described himself as a 'nine out of ten' drunk
A Yorkshire man attacked an air stewardess after she warned him to be careful when he got out of his seat as their flight was landing.
Smith's partner told the stewardess: "I told him not to drink whiskey". When he was arrested a week later, he admitted he had drunk three quarters of a bottle of Famous Grouse whiskey. “She shouted at him: ‘What are you doing? I don’t even know you!’,” Mr Potts said. “The defendant once again came towards her and tried to hit her, causing her to retreat backwards down the aisle.
The air stewardess described how she was made anxious and upset by the assault in a victim personal statement. She was worried about it happening again.
