A timely boost for people struggling with the cost of living crisis
The Department of Work and Pensions is set to pay out a one-off sum of money to claimants on at least one of 21 different benefits. Those eligible will not need to claim the extra cash, with it being directly deposited to them.
About 22 million people are believed to be in line for the £10 bonus, including approximately 12.6 million on State Pension, as well as others on Carer's Allowance, Disability Living Allowance and Personal Independence Payment .If you don't currently get benefits but think you may be eligible for help, now is the time to check so you can get the bonus payment in December as well as additional monthly support.
To receive the £10, you must be in receipt of at least one of 21 benefits in the "qualifying week", which is usually the first full week in December.
