The DWP will be sending letters out soon.
The Department for Work and Pensions has announced new plans to keep encouraging more than 11 million pensioners to check if they qualify for an annual income boost of £3,500.
Ms Trott said: “In the new year, DWP will again write to over 11 million pensioners as part of the annual uprating of State Pension. The accompanying leaflet has been updated to include this year’s campaign messaging promoting Pension Credit. During his Autumn Statement, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announced that Pension Credit will increase by 10.1 per cent from April. This will be on top of a 10.1 per cent increase to State Pension, disability and means-tested benefits that are delivered by the DWP.
