Phillip Schofield “created an atmosphere” on This Morning “where people hated him”, former colleague Eamonn Holmes has claimed.

In a statement following Phillip Schofield announcing his resignation, ITV said: "We are deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit made tonight by Phillip Schofield.
