'It’s a wonderful, fun event, with a fantastic atmosphere, which raises a substantial amount for one of the county’s most-loved charities'
Earl Spencer will be in pole position for Cycle4Cynthia as the charity cycle ride returns to Althorp House this weekend, Sunday, September 25. Charles Spencer, Patron of Cynthia Spencer Hospice, named after his late grandmother, is looking forward to cyclists from around the county coming together once again.
This year, for the first time in the fundraiser's history, the ride is being staged on completely closed roads. The route lies mostly within the Althorp Estate, making it even safer for little ones.Earl Spencer said: “Everyone at Althorp looks forward to Cycle4Cynthia. It’s a wonderful, fun event, with a fantastic atmosphere, which raises a substantial amount for one of the county’s most-loved charities, Cynthia Spencer Hospice. I’m greatly looking forward to it.
"As someone who has ridden in Cycle4Cynthia on more than one occasion, I’m delighted to be supporting this year’s event, it being the hospice’s flagship fundraiser, raising well over £500,000 since it began. I wish all the riders well and am sure it will raise lots of vitally important money for such a worthy cause.”At NorthantsLive we're more than just news.
