EDINBURGH Airport has reopened after flights were temporarily suspended due to an issue on the runway.
A maintenance crew was despatched quickly to repair the problem, which was discovered just before 8am on Monday.
The closure of the runway lasted for around 30 minutes, with two planes diverted to Glasgow before swiftly returning to land in Edinburgh when the runway reopened.Two more flights were diverted to Newcastle.
