Editorial: As western involvement in Afghanistan comes to an end, we must take time to reflect on the mistakes that have been made and to learn from them
meeting on Tuesday has two tasks. The first will be to coordinate a comprehensive and coherent response to the situation that has arisen around the emergency evacuation from Kabul. The second will be to start the long process of building a new approach for the west towards, and more generally towards the relationship between the “old” developed nations and the emerging world.
