Ekin-Su added that she believes ITV have gone in the right direction with Maya, who is also the host of BBC Three’s Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star. ‘She’s funny, intelligent, smart, beautiful. ITV have made a good choice with picking her, I think,’ Ekin-Su said. When Maya was revealed to have been selected to front Love Island, the DJ emphasised how much of a ‘massive’ fan she is of the programme., competing against individuals including Towie’s Joey Essex, comedian Darren Harriott, former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer and Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton.
