The Newcastle United attacker was called up to Steve Clarke's squad for the Euro qualifier in Cyprus and clash with England at Hampden but after just a couple of training sessions withdrew.
Elliot Anderson WON'T be returning to the Scotland fold after deciding it wasn't for him, according to a report.
There is no injury involved in his withdrawal and he is fit and available for Eddie Howe's men this weekend when they face Brentford in the English Premier League. England boss Gareth Southgate could now swoop in after admitting prior to Tuesday's meeting between the two nations at Hampden that he was looking closely at the winger.
