The area has reportedly been cordoned off for two hours
show a police car, fire engine and Environmental Protection Unit vehicle blocking the road.
The pictures appear to show that a liquid has spilled from the lorry on the junction between Warser Gate and Stoney Street, with some of the area having reportedly been cordoned off for two hours. The images also show a green substance being used to clear up the liquid. The cordoned off area lies near businesses including The Angel pub and the Lace Market Fish Bar. We will bring you updates on this live incident as we get them in our blog below.Sam Abbas, manager of the Lace Market Fish Bar, hoped the street could reopen as soon as possible. He said: "This happened about two hours ago and I’ve been told it might be closed for four hours. I have been told to close as it is dangerous.
"From what I can tell the lorry hit the bollard and burst its tank. It's the worst time for us on a Friday lunch time for this to happen and I will have to cancel a delivery if it does not open."
