Emma Raducanu becomes first British woman to win a major in 44 years after US Open final victory
Raducanu, 18, has beaten Canadian Leylah Fernandez, 19, 6-4, 6-3, at Flushing Meadows in New York City. Raducanu makes history maker as the first Brit to win a Grand Slam since Virginia Wade at Wimbledon in 1977. She is also the first qualifier - in either the men's or women's game - to win a major title.
