The Busted star opened up about his battles with addiction in his 2022 BBC documentary Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction.
Emma Wills told fans some good news about her and husband Matt and was flooded with support. Emma said they’d “just found out” Matt’s BBC documentary about his addiction struggles is up for an award.
In the programme, Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction, she also opened up on what it was like for her in the early days of their relationship and when he relapsed after Busted’s 2016 reunion, as writes MEN. The documentary has been nominated for a National Television Award and is up against Lewis Capaldi’s How I’m Feeling Now, Deborah James: Bowelbabe in Her Own Words and Rob Burrow: Living with MND. Emma was delighted by the news. She proudly posted to Instagram a selfie of the pair as she said: "A little update. WOW. Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction was longlisted for an @officialntas.
She then rounded off her post by adding: "Voting is open now," with a winking emoji. And the post was quickly flooded with messages of praise for both Matt and Emma. @carahudnott commented: "And so it should be.. a deserving winner… you were both so honest and brave and will have no doubt helped numerous people battling addiction and living with addicts.." @pauldominic75 added: "Got my vote, incredibly powerful documentary, you guy’s are awesome. Yes, keep the conversation going."
