EXCLUSIVE: Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh has opened up about her struggles after her daughter Bonnie was born, saying motherhood is 'way harder' than she imagined
She became a first-time mum last December when she welcomed her daughter Bonnie with her fiancé Toby-Alexander Smith and actress Amy Walsh has revealed motherhood is more difficult than she’d thought it would be.
Amy breastfed Bonnie but she says it was “tricky” and “took its toll”, before discovering Bonnie was tongue-tied and had a milk intolerance. Plus, Amy said Bonnie’s sleep was terrible for a long while. “Everyone was telling me, “Once you get to six months you’ll be fine,” but at six months it was still really hard. I did a postnatal depression storyline as Tracy while I was pregnant and did loads of research, but I still didn’t know what I was walking into. I was like, “Wow, this is hard”.
