Emmerdale villain Lloyd Sawyer may have met a sticky end on Thursday, but what exactly is actor Matt Sawyer's life like off screen and why is he so familiar to fans?
There was another dramatic night afoot in the dales on Thursday, when Emmerdale’s Lloyd Sawyer passed away after weeks of fighting for his life in hospital following a brutal altercation with Dan Spencer.
Despite being warned off, Lloyd took things one step further when he goaded Dan by saying he intended to see much more of Amelia, prompting the protective dad to punch Lloyd during a tense altercation. Matt first played PC Nicholas Palmer in 2008 and then re-appeared in the soap as Shadarach Dingle in 2017.
