Here's where you've seen him before
A three part true crime drama following the story of Britain's largest manhunt will air on ITV tonight .
Headlines around the world were made in July 2010 when Moat shot three people in 24 hours, before going on the run for a week, involving 160 armed officers. The true crime drama is set to follow the events of which happened in those days.Raoul Moat will be played by North East actor Matt Stokoe, who is from Durham. Emmerdale star, Dale Meeks, will also feature in the Raoul Moat documentary playing one of Moat's friends, Rory Sutcliffe.
Meeks has also starred in Byker Grove as the leader of a gang from rival youth club Denton Burn for 5 series and played Hips in the BBC series Breezeblock. He also toured the UK with the musical Chicago and appeared in the West End production of Love Never Dies - he will also appear in the upcoming series of George Gently as Panda.
Simon arrived in the village making a fish delivery to Cafe Hope, where he was then mistakenly set up on a date with Nicola Blackstock - the couple eventually got together and Simon proposed - the engagement went to shambles after Nicola ran their business into the ground. He eventually becomes dissatisfied with life in the village and decides to leave for Costa Rica in August 2006.
