In the latest episode, Cathy was diagnosed with PMDD but viewers have found the storyline 'depressing'
Fans of Emmerdale have been hitting out at the show's newest plotline involving Cathy, after she was diagnosed officially with PMDD.
Eventually, Bob realised what had happened and rushed to his daughter's side just before her apartment started. There, Cathy was diagnosed with PMDD and told to take antidepressants, but she wasn't happy with the diagnosis.Bob tried to celebrate with Cathy, but she told him she didn't want to be on antidepressants. Instead, Cathy decided she wanted a hysterectomy.
However, some have been critical of the depressing way in which the storyline has been conveyed. @Surfingspaniel said: "She’s not depressed but we are, watching her storyline". @KassySmith14 added: "@emmerdale please stop the cathy story sick of the morngi pathetic poor me act .. give her some better acting roles .. this is stupid and painful to watch .."
