England fans had trouble getting into the stadium before their clash against Iran
A number of England fans in Qatar missed the start of their opening World Cup game against Iran due to ticketing issues.
Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions played their first match of Group A on Monday afternoon, but many supporters faced difficulty getting into the Khalifa International Stadium.AdvertisementWith the 4pm local time kick-off approaching, some were unable to access their tickets on the official FIFA app. A group of England fans also seen arguing with officials as they kept being told entry to the queue was closed and being repeatedly moved down to another entrance.One England fan said they should have “just used paper tickets” and criticised the organisation of the entry.
FIFA acknowledged some fans were experiencing issues accessing their tickets and said it was working on solving the issue.phew, ok. This is the error message I’m seeing in the FIFA app. A few days ago, all my tickets appeared here
