Amadou Onana, meanwhile, continued to show glimpses of the talent that could lead to a breakthrough season for the young midfielder. His potential was clear throughout last season and his start to this campaign has been impressive despite the results of his team. The key chances fell to the hosts in the ninth minute of stoppage time and Pickford’s brilliance saved Everton.
