Football Insider understands that Everton are set to complete a deal for Che Adams after reaching an agreement on terms with medical planned
and are now in the final stages of finalising a fee and structure of payments with the Championship outfit.
Adams is set to be granted permission to head to Merseyside for a medical and to put pen to paper on a permanent deal. Southampton have been holding out all summer for £15million for Adams even though he has entered the final year of his contract. Adams has scored in each of the Saints’ first three Championship games, with the latest coming in Saturdays’s 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle, after notching just five league goals last term.Adams, who has also attracted interest this summer from Wolves and Burnley, would become Sean Dyche’s fifth summer signing.
The Merseysiders have has so far completed the captures of Ashley Young, Arnaut Danjuma, Jack Harrison and teenage striker Youssef Chermiti from Sporting Lisbon.
