Every year the flower show brings a combination of garden and floral displays, cookery demonstrations, a shopping village, arena entertainment, and live music to the seaside town
This year, the Southport Flower Show is back in full bloom. Taking place in the magnificent Victoria Park, the show is running from Thursday, August 17 to Sunday, August 20, and plans for this year’s show are well underway.
Tickets Early bird tickets are now on sale now and children under 16 go completely free when accompanied by a paying adult. Other tickets now on sale include Ladies Day giving you a chance to get glamorous; Afternoon Tea, adding a spot of luxury as you relax in the Summer Pavillion; and the Four Day Patron Pass giving you access to an exclusive covered seating area, private toilet facilities and a free show guide to plan your day.
The Grand Floral Marquee is a treasure trove of quality plants and flowers, trees and shrubs, bonsai, cacti, vegetables, and herbs. With experts on hand to give advice about growing some of the beautiful and unusual plants, this area of the show is not one to be missed. The Arena is jam-packed full of entertainment including a dog display team, birds of prey display, live music, and children’s entertainer Justin Fletcher.
Over in the Honey Marquee, beekeepers will be giving a live demonstration of honeybees performing their amazing “Waggle Dance”, so prepared to be bee-wildered by the curious work done by these amazing creatures. A selection of honey and beeswax will also be on sale from local beekeepers, giving you a chance to sample and take home their gorgeous preserves.
