Step back to the 1940s 🪖 Music, costumers, classic cars and even a flypast 🛩️
Lincoln’s 1940s Weekend returns to the city’s Cathedral Quarter this week – with tens of thousands of visitors expected for two days of all things vintage and a few surprises along the way.
It is one of the biggest events on Lincoln Business Improvement Group’s calendar, attracting tens of thousands of people each year as communities come together to celebrate our past at this free weekend. Other things to look out for will be the return of Winston Churchill, portrayed by Derek Herbert, as well as magicians, a Punch and Judy show, and even the opportunity to get your hair done in traditional 1940s fashion at Castle Hill.
Lee Roberts, Head of Operations at Lincoln BIG commented: “We are delighted to see the positive response online and encourage everyone to take Lincoln’s 1940s weekend as an opportunity to discover some of the city’s best hospitality and retail venues.“The Lincoln BIG team has worked hard taking in feedback from visitors and local businesses to ensure the event continues to benefit the city.
