Meghan Markle has always been unfairly scrutinised by the press and the public - but, after her and Harry decided to leave the royal family, things only seem to have got worse.
Earlier this week, Bot Sentinel, an analytics service for Twitter - which has also looked at the spread of Covid misinformation and racist abuse after the Euros 2020 final - found that of more than 114,000 tweets about the couple, 83 accounts were responsible for approximately 70% of the negative and often hateful content. It might be less than a hundred accounts, but the combined reach of these accounts is 187,631 followers.

Are they trying to hurt Harry and Meghan’s] credibility? Your guess is as good as ours,' Christopher Bouzy told [BuzzFeed News. Speaking to the outlet, he also stressed that the campaign isn't being run by bot accounts, but real people. 'This campaign comes from people who know how to manipulate the algorithms, manipulate Twitter, stay under the wire to avoid detection and suspension,' he added.READ MORE:
