The 31-year-old, who now plays for Spartak Moscow, stabbed the victim in the knee during a family party in Abcoude in July 2020.it is unclear if he will now return to the Netherlands.Promes will also stand trial later this year for allegedly importing two consignments of cocaine, a total of 1362 kilos, via the port of Antwerp.
Promes, who also played for Spanish side Sevilla, has been capped 50 times by the Netherlands national side.More to follow…
