Rangnick has given Spurs some advice, though, telling the club that they will need to make an extra hire to give Nagelsmann the support he needs to get on with coaching the team. “If Tottenham really want him, then I think it would be important if a sporting director was still there to support him,” he said, with Fabio Paratici recently leaving the club.“It can be a very, very exciting story,” Rangnick continued. “There is room for improvement, a lot of room for improvement and yet this is not a club where you’re expected to be in the top one or two right away.
“And yet that is possible if you work well. [Mauricio] Pochettino showed it back then and led Spurs to the Champions League final. And of course the high quality of life in London plays a major role.”
