Langman was today jailed for life at the High Court in Glasgow having been convicted of murder last month.
A former soldier who brutally murdered his daughter's partner has been jailed for at least 17 and a half years.
Lord Fairley told him: "It is quite clear to me from the statement produced by Anthony Collins' elder sister that his death is deeply felt both by her and other members of his family." He admitted he had barred the victim from his flat, but insisted he "definitely" meant no harm towards him.He spotted Mr Collins there, claimed he was hit before hurling abuse at his daughter's lover.He punched him before claiming his mind went "hazy" about what then occurred, but recalled his former co-accused Anthony McGovern "screaming" at him.Prosecutors stated Mr Collins was choked by a cable being tightened around his neck.
