Snowy conditions are set to last until later this week.
Scots in north and eastern parts of the country should brace themselves as snowfall is expected from today and could lead to widespread disruptions.
Forecasters are urging motorists to take caution when on the roads, as icy conditions may result in stranded vehicles. Wider travel delays are also predicted as some air and rail journeys may be cancelled. “With freezing overnight temperatures and the risk of ice, there’s a risk of some travel disruption and wintry hazards are likely to persist through much of next week, even further south for a time, so keep an eye on the Met Office forecast for the latest information.”
