The pub will reopen under new ownership on September 27, two months after it was closed
Residents and businesses in Nottingham, have expressed their excitement about the reopening of a popular pub in the area. The Royal Oak, located on Nottingham Road, New Basford will reopen its doors on Wednesday, September 27, under new ownership.
Charles AJ, 33, is one of the owners of Basford Premier Convenience Store on Nottingham Road. He said: “We’re very excited to welcome new people coming here. We’re running the shop and we need other businesses close to us, so it’ll bring more customers to us. Thushanth Ranjith, 26, is another one of the owners of the shop. He added: “We’re a local small business. For us, we don’t see any problems with the pubs coming over there because it brings more customers for me.
“It feels a big difference for me [when it closed two months ago]. Even I don’t see many people coming here so it affected me as well.”
