Line of Duty star explains tense interrogation scenes in A Spy Among Friends
Maxwell Martin answered:"I think it is quite different, actually, because I thinkis really procedural. It's Jed [Mercurio's] real gift, which is that he writes exceptional procedural drama which hooks you in.
"But this is about really – and this is [screenwriter Alex Clary's] gift – which is that he writes really beautiful relationships between people. "This isn't about spying and procedural hooks," the star insisted."It's about… if you invest in these relationships, you will be so rewarded by the end of episode 6 – I feel, after watching it, that you're so rewarded with something that feels really filled up."
