Les Commandos Percu, the world-renowned percussion and pyrotechnic troupe, performed their UK premier of the highly anticipated outdoor show, “Blast” with 2,500 people watching. The performance featured a captivating fusion of percussion, rhythm, and explosive visuals, set against the backdrop of Accrington’s historic town square.
Fireworks illuminated the night sky, synchronised with the pulsating beats of drums. Richard Slater said: “The best thing I have EVER seen in Accrington. We’ve hit the jackpot.”Another attendee, Sandra Holmes, said: “We seriously couldn’t believe this was in our town, it was truly amazing, even better than the light switch on.
Les Commandos Percu ended another fantastic day in Accrington on a high with hundreds of families enjoying spooky screenings in the Town Hall, and another sell-out monthly Makers Market on the square. The Makers Market will be back on November 18, 10am-4pm. The UK premiere of “Blast”, from the team who brought you OAK FEST, will be remembered as a landmark cultural event.
