An Extinction Rebellion activist will be helping police steward the marathon to stop 'naughty' protestors ‘There are a handful of naughty people who would like to block the race and we would like to stop that.'

One activist wore a Michael Gove mask to make a point yesterday The main mass of them started their attempt at 10am, though the elite wheelchair and women athletes began slightly earlier.

A record number of runners are expected to cross the finish line later today, with around 49,675 runners registered for this year’s race.A bit of rain helped runners to cool off earlier this morning It is the first time the event has been held in the spring since 2019, after being rearranged for the autumn the past three years due to Covid.
