It has dominated the skyline for 150 years
An eyesore which has dominated the skyline in Brierfield for more than 150 years is set to be demolished.
The gasholder was disconnected and isolated from the network in 2011 with gas now being stored within the main gas system and kept at the necessary pressure to supply both the regional and local network.Documents submitted with the application highlight nearby regeneration works such as the development of Northlight Glen Way and Brierfield Mills.
