Fans were left angered at the online ticketing system
Formula 1 fans have received an apology from chiefs of the British Grand Prix following a chaotic sale of tickets for next year’s race at Silverstone. Fans were left angered at the online system which saw many queue for hours, with prices rising while waiting.
Some who managed to get through to a sale saw the tickets they had originally selected rise in price when they came to pay as a result of Silverstone's dynamic pricing system reports the Daily Express.A number of fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations at the ticketing system chaos. FormulaDino tweeted: “People are clicking on a price to pay for Silverstone tickets and then when they get to checkout it's increased by over £20 this is absolutely ridiculous".
Bcfcrich also slammed the rising prices whilst waiting, tweeting: “The price for Silverstone tickets have risen £50-£60 today whilst I've been in the queue. I'm calling it a day, no way am I paying nearly £500 to watch it.".
