Wolves record signing Fabio Silva has completed his expected loan move to Anderlecht after signing a contract extension at Molineux.
The £35million striker has effectively committed his future to Wolves for the next five years, signing a deal until 2026 with an option for a further year in the club’s favour.Silva, who turned 20 today , endured a difficult 2021-22 season in which he failed to score a senior goal. He and Wolves were keen to secure him regular starts this season in a bid to help him find some form.
But the club insisted on a new deal to protect the transfer value of a player they still believe could have a bright future at Molineux. Silva’s expected departure increases the need for Wolves to add competition for Raul Jimenez, who is now their only recognised senior No 9.
