Facebook to shut down face-recognition system and delete faceprints of a billion users
Facebook will shut down its face-recognition system and delete the faceprints of more than 1 billion people. Approximately 640 million daily active users opted into the setting. As a result of the change, it will no longer automatically recognize people's faces in photos or videos.
