Comedian Jon Richardson shared the story after a visit to a fairground on the seafront
A fairground ride operator received a big surprise after telling off children who were reportedly misbehaving at a fairground ride in Morecambe.
Lancashire comedian Jon Richardson told the story in the latest episode of Comedians Playing FPL as he recalled visiting the fair with his daughter and his dad. After boasting about buying some cut price candy floss from a candy stall, he moved on to recall the story told by the worker.Jon said: “I also had a wonderful chat with one of the guys who operated the rides and said they’d had some kids there misbehaving the night before.
Asked what happened next, he replied: “And then I believe the boys were allowed to behave however they wanted to.” “Why would I abandon my own country for a bit of money and fame? I would never leave Morecambe. It’s true beauty. If the weather was better, every house here would be a million quid.”
