Faiza Awan, a 27-year-old from Slough, is breaking barriers as a deaf personal trainer at Langley Leisure Centre. , which impacted her confidence and opportunities.
Having experienced the benefits of regular exercise, including improved mental wellbeing and increased confidence, Faiza realised that she could help others achieve similar positive changes in their lives. She said: “I was bored in my previous job, I was working in an office and it wasn’t for me, I wanted to pursue a career that aligned with my passion for fitness, and I wanted to help others.“I wasn’t sure how to get started but I was determined that being deaf wouldn’t stop me.
“Seeing her thrive as a personal trainer is incredibly rewarding for all of us. We are truly proud to have Faiza as part of our team and look forward to witnessing the positive changes she continues to bring to the lives of those she trains.”Faiza's journey as a personal trainer began with completing the entry level 2 gym instructor qualification at the Everyone Active Langley Leisure Centre in Slough, Berkshire, in 2018. She said: “I was so excited to get started on my qualifications.
