A family have been left ‘devastated’ after a fire engulfed their Indian takeaway on New Year’s Eve causing at least £25,000 worth of damage.
“Because New Year’s Eve and the new year was coming up we had made big preparations for it and now between £12,000 and £15,000 worth of meat and food is gone. The building work for the takeaway will cost between £10,000 and £15,000 but we are still calculating the full extent of our losses. “We hope to open in the next ten days. It will be hard for us to recover although I know that we will eventually get there.”
