The attack happened in the Holbeck Avenue and Vicarage Lane area of Blackpool South Shore on October 13
The family of a man who was subjected to a 'vicious assault' are at his hospital bedside as he fights for his life.
Blackpool Police say the victim, in his 20s, suffered serious head injuries as a result of the attack in the Holbeck Avenue and Vicarage Lane area of Blackpool South Shore. The incident happened just after midnight on Thursday, October 13. The victim remains in a 'poorly condition' in hospital and his family are maintaining a vigil at his bedside. Six people have been arrested, interviewed and released under investigation pending further enquiries.
DCI Lee Wilson, of Blackpool CID, said: "I want to reassure the public that any information they give will be treated with the utmost confidentially. Our thoughts remain with the victim and his family as they maintain their vigil at his bedside."
