St Andrew's Hospice were 'blown away' after a huge donation in honour of Rangers Legend Jimmy Bell..
The former kitman's wife Janis and daughter Ashley attended the hospice in Airdrie this week to present a cheque worth £4,000 thanks to Rangers fan group Bars for Bears.that the group helped put together a memorial match against Dukla Pumpherston in Renfrew at New Western Park to raise money for charities and to honour the memory of Jimmy.
She said:"The hospice is close to us because my gran was here and my dad had links through Fernando Ricksen."The stories that you hear about my dad in the places are always nice and to still see the support for him is brilliant." She said:"I know how hard it is through Covid and things like that for charities to get the money they need.
"It has been so difficult to fundraise due to the cost of living crisis and it has never been as hard to do it as it is now"It is people like this who are the real heroes in raising the money."
