Ainsworth Jewellers have called Blackburn their home for 150 years and there are no plans to stop
Sparkling jewels and plush fabric seats - when we stepped into a particular shop in Blackburn it was like we had stepped back in time, but in the best way possible.
Ainsworth was the first shop in Blackburn to have VISA, meaning at the time, they were the only ones were people were able to pay by card. Although it has moved, the shop has been on Darwen Street since 1965, having found a unique double-fronted property that was highly sought after at the time. "We lost the contract at the end of 1927 and in 1928, Blackburn won the FA Cup, so we missed it by a year! After that, my grandpa never went to Rovers again, it was only when my uncle and dad took over the business that we started to go to Rovers again."
Helen, different from Phil, came from a more "corporate background" where she used to work at Tiffany's and owned two Pandora franchises. However, she cites her background as a "winning formula", combining her knowledge of the trade with Phil's family business.
