He was 'always smiling' and would 'do anything for anyone'
'His death has changed everything,' say the family of Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin, who was murdered with his friend on the Nottinghamshire border. TikTok star Mahek Bukhari, 24, was found guilty of murdering Mr Ijazuddin and Saqib Hussain in a crash on the A46 last year.
"Hashim would always put others first and wouldn’t hesitate to help others if they needed it. On that tragic day, he was simply helping his friend and this resulted in his death. It has been extremely painful not only losing Hashim at such a young age but also in the circumstances in which we lost him.
However, Mahek, her mother Ansreen and co-defendants Raees Jamal and Rekan Karwan were all found guilty of the pair’s murder. Four others, Ameer Jamal, Natasha Akhtar, Sanaf Gulamustafa, and Mohammed Patel were all cleared of the charge.
