Matthew Daulby died after he suffered a stab wound on a night out

The loved ones of a teenager who was killed on a night out will always remember the words he lived by.

Speaking to the ECHO, Gary said: "Matthew had a great zest for life. He loved festivals, parties, DJs, going to events. He was such a character and just had such a zest for life. It's just so sad and tragic for the family because he was such a big part of the family. Gary said the community has rallied around him, his wife Angela, Matthew's big brother Tom, and the rest of the family.

Matthew's family have today attended the Dixie Dean statue at Goodison Park to lay his funeral flowers. A flower arrangement spelling out the word 'son' was also placed on the pitch. Henry Houghton appeared in court on Friday, August 4 accused of murdering the 19-year-old in Ormskirk town centre. Houghton was arrested on Sunday, July 30, and charged by Lancashire Constabulary.
