Father Simon Robinson has held the interim position for 10 months.
The new dean of Truro Cathedral has been appointed
The nomination of Father Robinson as Sodality of Mary, Mother of Priests was approved by His Majesty The King, a cathedral spokesperson said.Father Robinson was previously vicar of Minehead and has a long history, prior to ordination, of senior leadership in the education sector, the cathedral added.
In 2021 Father Robinson completed the strategic leadership development programme, for clergy identified as potential future leaders on a strategic and senior level. "This is wonderful news for the cathedral, the diocese and for the whole of Cornwall," said the Bishop of St Germans, the Right Reverend Hugh Nelson.
