Kate is fearless! Princess abseils down quarry in £600 jacket and hiking boots
The Princess of Wales showed her sporty side as she fearlessly abseiled down into a quarry on a day spent mingling with mountain rescue climbers during a trip to the South Wales Valleys on Thursday.
The club, which is a feeder club to Cardiff Blues, is a popular spot for the climbers to socialise and relax when they are off duty. Prior to becoming a senior royal at the age of 35, William had a career as an RAF search and rescue pilot. He also worked as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The Coronation Concert will then follow on Sunday 7 May. The event will be held in front of a crowd of 20,000 at Windsor Castle, while also being broadcast across BBC television and radio stations.
